​VAN GOGH'S HALLOWEEN 🧟‍♀️🐈‍⬛🦇

Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) was a Dutch artist, only painted for ten years. He is well known for his vivid and colorful self-portraits, paintings of flowers, and landscapes such as Starry Night. Van Gogh worked with great speed and passion, using coarse brushstrokes. He greatly influenced the style of art called expressionism, which shows the emotions that objects and events stir up in the artist.
October 17, 2025 - Room B1 5th grade artists explored the techniques of the art master Vincent Van Gogh and tried our hands on his unique painting style. It was close to Halloween so we painted the "Jack Skellington's Moon" scene in The Nightmare Before Christmas movie in Van Gogh's painting style. The results were awesome as we recreated the image with the yellow moon and eerie landscape.
​We had a lot of fun learning about Van Gogh and painting using his art style.
