SPIRIT GUIDE ANIMALS

November 2025 - In Social Studies, our class had learned about American Indians in different regions of the United States. We also explored Totem Animals or Spirit Guide Animals in the Native American culture. A spirit animal is characterized as a teacher or messenger that comes in the form of an animal. Native American spirit animals hold a sacred place in tribal culture. 
To celebrate Native Americans Heritage Month in November, we went on a quest to find our own guide animal and their characters. We drew and painted our chosen animal on wood slices and made necklaces with twine strings. It was a good learning experience.
