Flea Market #1
September 26, 2025 - Our class had the first Flea Market this year in the classroom... and it was FANTASTIC! While they are allowed to bring little knickknacks and trinkets like toys, candies, or other goodies to sell in class, a lot of students brought their own creations for the market. There were custom bracelets, bookmarks, drawings, paper folding, an art auction, and even therapy sessions. Such creative money-making schemes! Each "Vendor" paid fees and set up their booths to display the goods (and tip jars!). 😎
Our young entrepreneurs learned how to use money wisely to buy and/or sell products and be successful. They also have opportunities to practice math and bargaining skills, solve problems, and learn simple financial literacy in this fun class event.
