"LIBRARY ESCAPE" CHALLENGE
February 16-20, 2026 - "Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library" is a story about Kyle, Akimi, and 10 other kids in Alexandriaville who were chosen to spend the night in Mr. Lemoncello's brand new library. They have 24 hours to find clues, solve riddles, and out-play each other to be the first to escape from the library.
It's also our 2nd Trimester book that we read and analyzed together. After finish reading the story, we celebrated by watching the live action movie of the book while drinking hot chocolate. Then the real fun began when we were divided into five teams and went through a a Jeopardy game, a Kahoot challenge, a team riddles competition, and a final group challenge to be the first to "escape from the cafeteria" by solving riddles and puzzles.
After 4 rounds and 300 points later, Team Sierra (Callie, Olivia N., Daphne, Kamron, Santiago, Robin, Santana) narrowly defeated the other teams to win the grand prize, which consisted of class money and a brand new Mr. Lemoncello book, which is the next book in the series, and also the coveted Golden Pineapple Award.
