Dia de los Muertos
October 24, 2025 - Dia de los Muertos or "Day of the Dead" is a Mexican holiday which is celebrated mostly in Mexico and in Hispanic Communities on November 1 and 2. The event is like a family reunion—except dead ancestors are the guests of honor. Day of the Dead is a joyful time that helps people remember the deceased and celebrate their memory.
We learned about the the traditions of Dia de los Muertos and cut papel picado. We also colored calacas to decorate our classroom. It's a lot of fun learning about and making traditional Mexican folk art to celebrate Dia de los Muertos. Viva Mexico!
