AVID Activity

January 14 - Rio Calaveras is an AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) school. Each month our class did a class activity using an AVID strategy that increases involvement, discussion and understanding. For this month, the strategy was called Carousel where each group rotated around 8 stations and wrote ideas about the literature unit topics we are learning. Afterwards, each group shared what they and everyone had written down. It was a fun learning experience with this AVID strategy. We are looking forward to the February AVID activity.
