3D Augmented Reality

March 10, 2026 - Augmented Reality is a technology that superimposes digital information over the user’s view using a device like a smartphone or smart tablet.
We explored 3-D augmented reality in this fun STEAM (STEM with Art) project. In these activities, we colored pictures and used the iPad's camera to create 3D images of birds, butterflies, fireworks, dinosaurs, rockets, and interacted with them. We even unlocked alien games and driving tracks.
​It was awesome seeing our artworks came to life through the camera lens of our tablets. ​
